Meet some of the current women police officers of the Huntington Beach Police Department.

LT. KELLY RODRIGUEZ
Lieutenant Rodriguez is currently assigned to the Traffic Division. She manages Specific Events, Downtown, Homeless Outreach and the Mounted Unit.  In 2012, she was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. 

Her prior assignments as a sergeant include Patrol, Field Training Officer Program, Trauma Support, and Professional Standards.  As a police officer, she was assigned to Patrol, Beach Detail, School Resource Officer, Training Officer, Crisis Negotiation Team and the Patrol Rifle Team.

Lieutenant Rodriguez came to the HBPD in 1996 after seven years as a deputy with the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Her education includes a Masters degree in Public Administration from National University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University at Long Beach.

INVESTIGATOR LISA GALLATIN
Officer Gallatin was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 1995 and is currently assigned to the Personnel Bureau as a Background Investigator. Since joining the HBPD, she has worked Patrol, DARE, and Personnel.

Prior to her appointment at HBPD, Officer Gallatin was a police officer for the El Segundo Police Department and a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University at Long Beach and a Master of Science degree in Criminology from Chapman University.

OFFICER LISA LAZ
Officer Laz was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 1999 and is currently assigned to the Uniform Division working patrol. Prior to her appointment with the HBPD, she served two years as a Deputy Sheriff for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University at Long Beach.

OFFICER KENDRA WOOD  (not pictured)
Officer Wood was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2002 and is currently assigned to the Uniform Division as a patrol officer. During her career, she has worked the Beach Detail and the Special Enforcement Team.

Officer Wood holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from California State University at Long Beach. She also holds a Doctorate in Education (Organizational Leadership) from the University of La Verne.

OFFICER JENNIFER MARLATT
Officer Marlatt was appointed to the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2003. She is currently assigned to the Administration Division as the Public Information Officer.  She has worked various assignments including Beach Detail, Special Enforcement Team (Downtown Foot Beat), and the Traffic Division.

Prior to her employment with the HBPD, Officer Marlatt was in the United States Marine Corps.

Officer Marlatt has a Bachelors degree in Administration of Justice.

OFFICER MARY JO GAMBLIN
Officer Gamblin was appointed to the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2007. She is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.

Prior assignments include the Special Enforcement Team (Downtown Foot Beat), Summer Beach Detail and most recently as the Traffic Division DUI Enforcement Officer.  She is a current member of the Trauma Support Team and a previous member of the Crisis Negotiation Team.

Prior to joining the HBPD, Officer Gamblin spent 15 years as a California Highway Patrol Officer.

OFFICER ANGELA BENNETT
Officer Bennett was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2012. She is currently assigned to the Uniform Division as a patrol officer and has worked the Beach Detail. She is also a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team and is an advisor for the Huntington Beach Search and Rescue Team.

Prior to her appointment at the HBPD, Officer Bennett spent eight years as a police officer for the Chula Vista Police Department and two years as a police officer for the Torrance Police Department.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Forensic Science from National University in San Diego.

OFFICER STEFANI WILLIAMS
Officer Williams was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2012. She is currently assigned to the Uniform Division as a patrol officer.  She has previously worked the Beach Detail for the HBPD.  Prior to her appointment, Officer Williams spent six years as a police officer for the Norfolk (Virginia) Police Department.

Officer Williams holds an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from Pasadena City College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Norfolk State University.

OFFICER MICHELLE SEESER
Officer Seeser was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2014 and is currently assigned to the Uniform Division as a patrol officer.

Prior to her appointment at HBPD, she spent four years as a Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Officer Seeser holds a Bachelors degree in General Studies from Central Missouri State, and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Los Angeles City College.

OFFICER IRMA LAMAS
Officer Lamas was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in 2014. She is currently assigned to the Uniform Division as a patrol officer.

Prior to her appointment at the HBPD, Officer Lamas was a police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. During her last two years working at LAPD, she was assigned to the Domestic Violence Response Team.

In September, 2015, she will graduate with her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Union Institute and University.  Officer Lamas also holds an Associate degree in Art and Science.

OFFICER EVELYN ALVARADO  (not pictured)
Officer Alvarado was hired as a police recruit for the Huntington Beach Police Department in February 2014. She graduated from the Orange County Sheriff's Academy, Class #211, in August, 2014, and has completed her Field Training Program. 

Prior to her appointment with the HBPD, Officer Alvarado worked for the Santa Ana Police Department as a clerical aide and a police cadet.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Criminology from California State University at Pomona.

RECRUIT KATELYN JORDAN (not pictured)
Recruit Jordan was hired by the Huntington Beach Police Department in July 2015.  She will be attending the Orange County Sheriff's Academy, Class #219.  After graduation, Recruit Jordan will begin her Field Training Program.

Prior to her appointment with the HBPD, Recruit Jordan worked for a women's clothing boutique in Orange County.

She holds double Bachelor of Arts degrees in Fashion Merchandising and Textiles from California State University at Long Beach.
