Reminder: Portable Basketball Hoop Rules!
posted on 06/01/2017.

Just a reminder that if you own a portable basketball hoop, it is not allowed to be stored in the street or sidewalk area (public right of way) as it would be considered an illegal encroachment. Please understand that such encroachments are potentially dangerous as they may block a path of travel or create a traffic hazard by being present in the street or knocked down/blown into the street. Additionally, items such as basketball hoops, cars, left out trash cans, and other encroachments prevent the City’s street sweeper from doing its most effective job. Please be careful not to contribute to creating a potential street or pedestrian hazard and make sure that all portable basketball hoops are pulled back onto your private property. Thanks!
